Q.  Do I need to have a recently harvested deer in order to determine the deer's age?

No!  You can use the DEER AGE TOOL on any harvested whitetail deer, old or new.  If you are able to view the teeth and jaw, you can age the deer with the tooth wear and eruption method.  If you can remove the incisors, then cementum annuli aging can also be done.
